The August Inn

Awesome place to stay. Rooms are so cute and comfortable. Everything was clean and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and Chris the owner was as sweet as can be. The August Inn is within walking distance to all shops. We will definitely be back to stay!

Absolutely wonderful stay! The beds, pillows, and linens were incredibly comfortable — some of the best I’ve ever experienced at a bed and breakfast. The home itself is filled with unique antique furniture and charming decor that give it so much character. Our host, Chris, was exceptionally gracious, kind, and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and cared for, even preparing a healthy, delicious breakfast for us each morning. If anyone could leave less than a five-star review for this place, they must have a personal grudge against Old Town Spring itself — it’s truly a gem and an experience you don’t want to miss!

A lovely place to stay - Kris was an amazing hostess along with her husband, Pete. They made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay was enjoyable - we will definitely be back! Would be a great place for a girls trip with the shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The train across the street just added to the ambiance of this cute B&B.

You CAN’T put less than 5 stars when people go out of their way to make you feel cozy and at home! No complaints. Very clean room, such a vibe. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and the host so helpful. You won’t be bothered here but will have all your questions answered. Thanks Chris for such a cozy stay Yea, the inn is right on the train tracks by it makes its charm! I’m sure children would be so excited to see the train go by.

Our stay at The August Inn was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, our host made us feel so welcome — truly like part of the family. One of the most unique things about this inn is that the train tracks run right by it. For us, hearing the trains at all hours added to the charm and character of the place — it felt like stepping back in time! The owner even thought ahead by providing earplugs and a noise machine for guests who might prefer quiet, but we absolutely loved it. The town itself was just as lovely, full of history, great food, and friendly people. We left feeling relaxed, happy, and already planning our next visit. The August Inn is truly a gem — warm, beautiful, and unforgettable! I worked during the day and the owner was so sweet and made me feel so relaxed, cared for, and I am already looking forward to coming back. My stays at August Inn are something I genuinely look forward to every single time. Chris is truly the best host — warm, thoughtful, and intentional in every detail. You can tell she doesn’t just run a place to stay… she creates an experience. Her breakfast is always amazing — beautifully prepared, delicious, and never just “standard.” What means even more is how carefully she takes food allergies into account. That level of thoughtfulness makes you feel seen and cared for, not just accommodated. The entire house reflects her heart. Every room is intentional and full of detail — from the cozy touches to the way everything feels perfectly placed. It’s peaceful, welcoming, and so comfortable that it’s hard to leave. It’s become my favorite getaway that’s still close to home — the perfect escape without the long drive. Every visit feels special, and I always leave refreshed and already planning my next stay.

What an amazing stay here, everything is just as others posted. It's just a short walk from all the quaint shops in Old Town Spring which you can make a whole day of shopping and arrive to a very comforting place that feels like stepping into a little history of such a charming town. The room we stayed in was just impeccable down to the smallest details such as fresh cut flowers that my wife admired. The Host prepared a wonderful breakfast that showed her culinary skills accompanied with warm friendly chat.

We had 4 couples stay at August Inn for a nearby wedding. WOW - far exceeded all expectations. Quaint and cozy from the layout to the furnishings and breakfast were A++.. We are even purchasing a bed the same that we slept on. Our best night sleep in years. Already planning our next stay. The proprietor, Chris, is over the top accommodating.
